The Route
Scenic routes are the absolute best. And, biking on such a route is thrilling and soothing, both.
It all started from the City of Dreams, Mumbai around 5 a.m. in the morning. The first stop was Mangaon, which is approximately 200 kms away from Mumbai. Hungry? Want to grab a snack? Anand Bhavan is your go-to. Grab a piping hot Vada Pav with chillies and enjoy it to the fullest.
The Ghats are mesmerizing. Kashedi Ghat and Parshuram Ghat are must-visit locations enroute Tarkarli. As the wind gushes, it brings a fresh whiff of air and life along the way.
Halt at Chiplun for a wholesome meal. Itās lunch time! Visit Hotel Highway for some tasty Bhurji Pav or a sumptuous Thali of Chicken, Mutton or Fish. Itās all worth it, we must say.

Sindhudurg Fort
Built in the 17th century by the mighty Maratha ruler Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sindhudurg Fort is a sea-fort. It was initially built to counter the Portuguese, French, English and Dutch merchants whose influence was rising day-by-day. It was also built to curb Siddis of Janjira. The fort stands mightily today, speaking of the past thatās bygone and inspiring. And, it is lovingly called a āA Mighty Fortressā.
Chivla Beach
Chivla Beach is lined with houses, resorts and hotels on one side and the vast ocean on the other. Itās a perfect spot for couples to go on a night walk or to soak in the sunset and the magical hues it brings along with it. One can also venture out to try some scuba sports. And, if youāre lucky enough, youāll see dolphins in their own habitat.
